Emilia Romagna in northern Italy is a place worthy of interest when visiting Italy. Travellers are invited to stay for several days to fully appreciate its attractions.
Bologna, its regional capital, is home to the oldest university in Europe. This city is also regarded as the gastronomic capital of Italy. The squares Neptune and Maggiore have Romanesque and Gothic structures. The Basilica of San Petronio was built in 1390 is an excellent example of Gothic structure. It has some exquisiteengravings of biblical scenes, as well as art treasures in its chapels. The Asinelli and Garisenda or Two Towers offers spectacular views of Bologna.

Ravenna, the capital of the mosaic is home to several UNESCO World Heritage Site, like the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, the churches of St. Apollinaris 'Class and St. Apollinaris Nuovo, the Arian Baptistery, the Chapel of Sant' Andrea and the Baptistery Neon
For beach lovers, visit Riminienjoy the party at night in various clubs on the beach during the summer. There are many hotels, some 30 clubs and a few theme parks. Rimini has a rich historical and artistic heritage dating from the Roman empire as the Tiberius Bridge and the Arch of Augustus.
