We are all born with our own unique personality traits. Our personalities determine if we are jovial, shy, formal or carefree, passive or aggressive, always on time or late. Our personalities actually cause us to act and react the way we do. For thousands of years people believed that there are four basic personality types.

Several authors have written books on color and personality. My favorite book is the color code by Taylor Hartman, Ph.D. He Groupsall four groups, red, white, blue and yellow. Each color represents a set of characteristics, strengths and limitations. The symbolism of the color also illustrates how the relationships and impact of various personalities such as connecting with others. This can be extremely useful for exploring and building a business network.

These four personality types that are identified by four colors are found in every culture in the world. They identify strengths and weaknesses, actionsand response. Although there are variations and exceptions due to cultural biases and other environmental influences, everyone has a dominant color personality.

Knowing our color personality, we understand ourselves as others and learn to face challenges in daily life. Everyone is mostly a color or personality type, and are guided bythat the basic personality.
