The Galapagos Islands are largely due to the famous Charles Darwin made observations there in the 19th century. These observations helped him to formulate his theory of evolution by natural selection. It 'been a great place to make these observations because the variety of wildlife is not surprising. Here are some of the animals you might expect to see if you ever visit the Galapagos Islands.
1. Galapagos tortoises
These creatures seem to come directly fromdinosaur age. There are 14 distinct subspecies of Galapagos tortoise, mainly differ in the length of the neck and the shell shape. Unfortunately, 3 of which have recently become extinct.
2. Pacific Green Sea Turtle
This is the only species of sea turtles that call the Galapagos Islands to its home. During the first half, they rock on the beach to lay their eggs. If you volunteer at the Charles Darwin Research Station, you can track and mark all the eggs that areprovided. You can also snorkel to see them glide gracefully through the water.
3. Lizards
The Galapagos is home to some very different types of lizards. One of them lived in the sea, which is the only type of lizard in the world to spend his entire life in the sea. The life of earth and other succulents can eat without even removing the thorns. Even on the mainland are the lava lizards, which are brightly colored red and orange.
4.Cormorant

8. Finches

9. Mammals
You can also see a lot of furry friends on the Galapagos. There are bats, sea lions, seals, and even rats.
10. Underwater
